A rare and unusual grand tour sculpture of a lioness in giallo antico marble, of outstanding quality,
in the manner of Francesco Antonio Franzoni ( 1734 - 1818 ) on a Green serpentine marble base.
Franzoni settled in Rome in the 1760's where he worked for Pope Pius VI,
filling a room with animal sculptures.
